Edinburgh is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities full of history, culture and charm. From the medieval Old Town or elegant Georgian New Town, you are always close to green space; some of our parks feature extinct volcanoes and a castle. Edinburgh has a vibrant arts and social scene with markets, theatre, comedy, live music, clubs and the world famous International Festival, Fringe and Hogmanay celebrations. There are lots of tasty places to eat from street food to fine dining. You’re never far from the beach whether it’s Portobello with its small seaside town vibe or the extensive golden sands of East Lothian. If sport is your thing, you’re spoilt for choice with watching or participating. We’ve got first class leisure facilities and if you travel just outside the city, you can go surfing, explore the Pentland Hills or seek out adrenaline activities in the Tweed Valley and beyond. The compact capital city is well connected with excellent transport links to the rest of Scotland/UK and abroad.
The NHS Lothian Pharmacy Service is committed to providing outstanding person centred pharmaceutical care and is a great place to start your career. It is managed as a single system within which primary and secondary care services are integrated and aspire to meet patients’ pharmaceutical needs as they move across care settings. The service serves a population of approximately 850,000 people living in Edinburgh and the Lothian region.
For 2023/24 NHS Lothian Pharmacy Service will be offering two programmes – a hospital only programme and a split programme. The split programme will consist of approximately six months in hospital and six months in primary care. Further information about both our programmes are available on the TPI page: https://nes-tpi.azurewebsites.net/TPinfo.html
