As an established training provider, we offer a structured, professional training programme to support you in developing clinical and pharmacy practice knowledge, along with vital soft skills & professional leadership behaviours. Designed to support your development in a holistic way, you will have dedicated support both in store and in the local area and region, specific training days and access to training materials through our own bespoke online training platform covering clinical topics and pharmacy practice, all aligned to the GPhC learning outcomes and registration assessment syllabus.
You’ll also have the chance to support your local community through additional training such as becoming a Dementia friend or Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacist.
Our Boots Trainee Pharmacist Programme supports your development to become a competent, confident Pharmacist, allowing you to put your knowledge into practice. In 2022, we offered a Qualified Pharmacist position to over 90% of our trainee pharmacists.
After your foundation year you will be enrolled onto our Boots Newly Qualified Pharmacist Programme so you can continue your training and development.
Boots supports the development of our Pharmacists by providing the opportunity to complete further training such as Independent Prescribing courses following completion of the Boots Newly Qualified Pharmacist Programme.
We aim to be the first choice for healthcare, reaching our customers and patients in new ways and with real convenience. With you. We change for the better.
Here's what our previous Trainee Pharmacists have said:
"Due to the vast variety of services pharmacists provide at Boots, choosing them was a no-brainer for me. I knew from day one that I would be supported and looked after as a Trainee Pharmacist." - Sura
"I have met fantastic people who have helped me develop as a Pharmacist; each sharing knowledge in their own unique way. From this experience, I know that Boots is the best environment for someone to grow in community pharmacy and become a leader of the future." - Jawaad
