Centre for Workforce Supply

The Centre for Workforce Supply (CWS) is situated in NES.

CWS aims to support workforce capacity across the NHS in Scotland, helping to ensure the sector has the right people in the right place at the right time, through supporting recovery, growth and transformation of the health and social care workforce.

The CWS team do this by supporting the development and implementation of workforce interventions and policy, supporting the utilisation of workforce data and through marketing and attraction activity, which help tackle national and place-based supply challenges.

In NES, the CWS team works collaboratively with directorates such as the NES medical directorate and the NES data group, to develop robust evidence and interventions that help grow and transform the workforce.
