Thriving in a Digital Age Pathways

The Thriving in a Digital Age Pathways have now launched.

Developed by NHS Education for Scotland on behalf of Scottish Government and COSLA, the pathways are intended to build understanding in digital ways of working in health and social care.

Four pathways

  • Explore
  • Embed
  • Drive
  • Shape

These pathways are aligned to various levels of responsibility. Each pathway introduces and builds on key digital concepts, with each one expanding on the themes introduced in the previous pathway.

Structure of each pathway

Each pathway has five steps and include:

  • resources, something to read, watch or listen to
  • activities, to reflect on learning and consider how it can be applied in your own organisation

We have specifically chosen a small range of resources, in a variety of formats and styles to support your understanding and learning.

Who are the pathways aimed at?

These are designed for the entire health and social care workforce in Scotland, including:

  • NHS
  • local authorities
  • health and social care partnerships
  • social work
  • social care
  • care and support providers
  • housing
  • third and independent sectors

The pathways are not specific to any profession, organisation or role.

Full instructions, more information, and the opportunity to provide feedback are available on the Thriving in a Digital Age Pathways site on Turas Learn.
