Registration is now open for the NHS Scotland Event 2023, which will take place on Monday 19 June at the SEC in Glasgow.

The organisers are delighted to be back in Glasgow and look forward to welcoming all delegates and speakers to what promises to be an engaging, lively and thought-provoking Event.

Across health and social care in Scotland we have seen extraordinary efforts from individuals and teams delivering services and support to people in Scotland. This has been in the context of one of the most challenging winters we have faced as an NHS. As we continue our pandemic recovery, we are facing unprecedented pressures ranging from Covid flu, Strep A and other diseases, alongside pressures across social care and the impact of cost of living crisis.

The NHS Scotland Event 2023 will focus on how we address together the immediate and longer-term challenges. We will focus on our priorities for the recovery and renewal journey, building on the learning from collaborative working to deliver the highest quality person-centred, safe and effective integrated care for every individual in Scotland, and laying the building blocks for future transformation in service delivery.

The Event will also explore how we work together towards renewal of our health and care services: how we sustain what is working, improve what needs changed, and look to redesign the service to embrace new ways of working.

Caroline Lamb, Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Director General Health and Social Care will welcome delegates to this year’s Event, setting out the programme and taking the opportunity to reflect on the contribution of our colleagues throughout another challenging year.

Mr Michael Matheson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care will also discuss his priorities in his first address to staff at the NHS Scotland Event.

Delegates will have a range of sessions to choose from while attending the Event. These include Mini-plenaries, Parallel and Spotlight sessions which have all been designed around the theme of the Event and will feature a number of real examples of exceptional care across NHS Scotland and its partners.

Places go quickly, and it’s only one day this year, so make sure you register now for Scotland’s leading health event.

Before registering, please ensure you view the full programme which includes detailed descriptors for all sessions – these will help you to make an informed decision on the sessions you feel are most relevant to your area of work.
