New funding for technology enabled care qualification

NES is providing funding for 50 candidates to study for the Professional Development Award (PDA) in Technology Enabled Care (TEC) at SCQF Level 7 starting September 2023.

The PDA is aimed at candidates who are employed in a frontline role in:

  • social work
  • social care
  • health
  • housing organisations

Including those working in care at home or care homes, across the public, private and third sector.

Delivered online in partnership with UHI Perth College, this self-directed award has been designed and developed to support Scotland’s Digital Health and Care Strategy (Scottish Government, 2021).

The PDA in TEC at SCQF Level 7 is to help equip Scotland’s workforce with the knowledge and skills required to embed Technology Enabled Care into health and social care practice supporting positive health and wellbeing outcomes for people.
