"We are delighted to welcome Louise to NES as our Boardroom Apprentice, a unique opportunity to gain experience and develop skills and apply her knowledge to public life in the boardroom. Louise will be treated as a non-executive director, although she will not form quorate.
“NES signed up to the UK Boardroom Apprentice Programme, aiming to provide developmental opportunities to younger people while, at the same time, widening the range of voices heard at the Board and increasing our diversity."
Louise joins the Board as a part of the Boardroom Apprentice Programme which provides a 12 month learning, development and placement programme that enables a diversity of new people to come forward to learn how to give their time and share their skills with third and public- sector boards.
Louise Harker said:
“I'm very excited to be joining the NES Board as a Boardroom Apprentice this year. I look forward to learning from the Board members and the wider NES, gaining experience and developing skills to serve public life through the Boardroom, and hope I will be able to contribute with knowledge and perspectives too."
