Welcome to the new cohort of the Enhanced Psychological Practice Programme
NES Psychology welcomed the latest cohort to the Enhanced Psychological Practice (EPP) programme in November. The programme sees learners trained to work with either adults or children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Marita Brack, Associate Director said:
“The EPP programme provides an excellent opportunity to extend the reach of the delivery high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions for the most common mental health problems to improve the lives of the people of Scotland”
Graduates of the courses are now working within NHS Scotland delivering evidence-based psychological interventions. The SQA has highlighted many areas of good practice for both the adult and child courses within their recent reports.
NES Psychology continues to support EPP graduates through a developing CPD programme. Recently , the EPP-CYP programme will welcomed back their graduates for a CPD event on skills training in group-based delivery of psychological interventions. Learners will be able to use the knowledge and skills developed in this workshop to further support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in their NHS services.
