New mental health resource for early years professionals

A new resource brings together helpful material for professionals to support babies, infants and young children’s mental health and wellbeing.

Maree Todd, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport introduced the resource at the recent Inspiring Scotland event Infant Mental Health - Babies in Scotland 2024. The Sway presentation has been shared widely across our professional networks. It has been viewed over 2200 times by a wide variety of early years professionals within health, education and social care across Scotland.

The resource has been developed by NES, Scottish Government and other key partners, including Education Scotland, Early Years Scotland, and the Scottish Social Services Council as part of the work of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Joint Delivery Board.
