Knowledge Services lunch and learn sessions

NES Knowledge Services are continuing their series of bitesize lunch and learns with a special additional session, Getting the best from your digital library account, on 25 March 2025 at 1pm.

Your digital library account is your key to up to date, quality assured evidence. Find out how you can use it to:

  • save results and create collections
  • save searches to re-run later
  • set up alerts to keep up to date with new research
  • share results with others
  • export to reference management software like RefWorks to manage references and create bibliographies

This session will last 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for questions. You will need a Turas Learn account to register: Book you place today.

New series of finding information sessions 

The extremely popular Finding Information series will be running again from 23 April to 28 May:

  • Session 1: What do you need to know? Defining your information need or research question
  • Session 2: Getting the best out of The Knowledge Network
  • Session 3: Getting the best out of web searching
  • Session 4: Getting started with databases
  • Session 5: Referencing and plagiarism
  • Session 6: Different study types and their benefits and weaknesses

Register for all or any of the sessions you are interested in attending. You will receive an individual email and joining link for each session. Sessions will not be recorded but will run again later in the year.
