The Centre for Workforce Supply - Social Care (CWSS) team are working behind the scenes on revamping the "International recruitment into adult social care" Turas Learn site.

On 1 April, they will unveil the new-look Turas Learn site with:

  • easy to find resources
  • guidance for employers and candidates
  • colourful layout
  • easy to read information
  • and much more

Monthly events

The CWSS team hosts a monthly webinar series on International Recruitment into Adult Social Care. They include Lunch and Learn Masterclasses as well as Community of Practice forums.

Lunch & Learn Masterclass

The March Lunch and Learn Masterclass focused on the evidence sponsors are required to submit to the UKVI in support to their applications. Alan Povey, senior specialist lead – international recruitment, CWSS delved into this topic, you can find the recording in the webinar library.

Community of Practice Forum

The next Community of Practice Forum will look at the year (2025/26) ahead, and what that might bring for the Scottish social care sector, including:

  • how this will look for the workforce
  • international recruitment
  • New Scots
  • training

With guest speakers Gordon Paterson (Director of Social Care – NES), Jill Laspa (COSLA) and more.
