#HealthLibrariansAddValue
Did you know that there are librarians working in your health board? How can you make best use of their skills?
Our Knowledge Services team and NHS Scotland Library Services are running a new campaign - #HealthLibrariansAddValue.
The campaign will raise awareness of NHS Scotland Librarians and their expertise to help individuals, teams and organisations manage knowledge for learning and practice.
This support has never been more critical than during the COVID-19 pandemic when staff have had to deal with a rapidly evolving situation, information overload and fake news.
The Knowledge Network digital library is available to all health and social care staff in Scotland. The librarians support staff to make best use of;
- Journals
- Books
- Databases
- Evidence summaries
They can also help with literature searches, information and digital skills training, the creation of clinical pathways and online resources, and much more.
Read our case studies and contact your local Health Librarian today. Invite them to a team meeting, involve them in your work, and find out how they can add value to the services you provide.
Health Education England recently published The gift of time, an independent report on the value proposition for NHS library and knowledge services in England. The report demonstrates the value NHS knowledge and library services deliver to the NHS in England. Our campaign aims to highlight the role of librarians in Scotland.
