Finding information – lunch and learn webinars
Knowledge Services has developed a series of bitesize sessions on Finding Information.
You will need access to an up-to-date quality assured evidence base, if you:
- write reports for your team or organisation
- are involved in research
- or are studying for a qualification
Come along to these short informal lunchtime sessions to learn how to find the evidence to meet your needs.
These will cover:
- defining your research question or information need
- accessing resources on The Knowledge Network digital library for health and care in Scotland
- finding NHS Scotland subscription material on the web, and quality assuring information sources
- first steps in database searching
- top tips for accurate referencing and avoiding plagiarism
- defining the different study types and their benefits and weaknesses
Sessions will take place each Wednesday at 1pm.
