Sarah Smith is Associate Director for Healthcare Science at Public Services Delivery, Scotland, and a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with extensive experience in healthcare science education, leadership, and workforce development.

Her career spans the Edinburgh and South East Scotland Blood Transfusion Service, senior NHS Lothian roles, and a Scottish Government secondment as Healthcare Science Professional Advisor.

Within PSDS, her role is focussed on the strategic leadership, co-ordination and national direction for how healthcare science training is planned, developed, resourced and delivered in Scotland.
