Healthcare Science Associate Director

Sarah Smith is the Associate Director for Healthcare Science at NHS Education for Scotland (NES). Sarah is a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist and Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science and has held roles including Healthcare Science Professional Lead and Laboratory Education Training and Development Lead for NHS Lothian where she was pivotal in developing career pathways for Healthcare Scientists. Prior to her role in NES, Sarah was seconded to the Scottish Government as the HCS Professional Advisor where she led the education review alongside Scottish Government and NES colleagues.
