Healthcare Science Professional Lead
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
Karen Brazier is the Healthcare Science Professional Lead for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, representing over 2000 Healthcare Scientists across Life Science, Physical Science, Physiological Science and Information Science. Karen is a Biomedical Scientist with a background in Clinical Biochemistry.
Working nationally, as the Healthcare Science National Workforce Lead, in Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Karen delivered the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019 for Healthcare Scientists as set out by the Scottish Government.
Karen is also a member of the Biochemistry Advisory Panel for the Institute of Biomedical Science and a member of the Registration Authority for the Science Council.
