Dr Fiona Schaefer is the Innovation Manager covering the East of Scotland for InnoScot Health. Fiona engages with NHS healthcare professionals to inspire innovators and helps accelerate the development of commercially viable ideas from concept to commercialisation, turning them into impactful healthcare innovations.
Fiona brings expertise in knowledge and technology transfer, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, and business development, building on her scientific background and chemistry PhD. Throughout her career Fiona’s championed the benefits of innovation and collaboration, between industry, academia and the public sector, and across diverse sectors including Life Sciences, Food & Drink, Renewables and Creative Industries.
