New Resource: Improving the quality of over-the-counter (OTC) consultations for simple analgesics: Phase III

We are delighted to launch a new resource recently developed by NES Pharmacy for community pharmacy staff. The recent circular PCA (P) (2019) 2 detailed this new training resource, continuing our work to help pharmacy staff optimise the management of OTC consultations. This is Phase III of this programme and follows on from Phase II which was published in February 2018.
The new resource is a workbook ‘Improving the quality of over-the-counter (OTC) consultations for simple analgesics:’ to be undertaken and completed by the pharmacy team. This will provide suggestions about how to improve the quality of OTC analgesic consultations using a range of methods.
