 Examples of work

  • Support practitioners to access and use the wide range of NES learning resources to contribute to their ongoing continuing professional development
  • Work collaboratively with the local NMAHP regulation and governance team to support organisation objectives such as Excellence in Care, Clinical Supervision in Midwifery and staff well-being
  • Facilitate workshops and learning events based on the NES "Train the Trainers" Toolkit to help enhance local learning cultures and staff in a link nurse role
  • Support the local chief nurses in the development and delivery of local education initiatives that support the development of the band 5 workforce e.g. the Making a Difference Programme
  • Support local teams of nurses and midwives to use the TURAS Nursing and Midwifery ePortfolio to record information that relates to continuing professional development and can contribute to appraisal and/or NMC revalidation

Practice Educator Annual Report

The purpose of this report is to provide a summary of key acheivements from Practice Educator National Network for stakeholders and external partners to inform and further embed the Practice Educator role within NHS Scotland and NHS Boards.
