Meningococcal serogroup C conjugate vaccination (MenC)

Removal of the infant meningococcal serogroup C (Men C) conjugate vaccine given at 3 months of age from 5 September 2016.

On the 4th of July 2016 the Chief Medical Officer announced changes to the Scottish Immunisation Programme Men C programme based on the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation recommendations. This involves the removal of the infant meningococcal serogroup C (Men C) conjugate vaccine given at 3 months of age from 5 September 2016.
