Reshaping Care for Older People

Reshaping Care for Older People

The Reshaping Care for Older People is a Scottish Govenrment initiative aimed at improving services for older people by shifting care towards anticipatory care and prevention.

The Reshaping Care for Older People programme provides a long term and strategic approach to delivering that change so that we can achieve our vision for future care for older people in Scotland.  This change needs to be built on a strong and enduring consensus across all sectors and interests.

The Reshaping Care for Older People: A Programme for Change 2011-2021 sets out our vision - that 'Older people are valued as an asset, their voices are heard and they are supported to enjoy full an positive lives in their own home or in a homely setting.'
