Workload and Workforce Planning
The Nursing and Midwifery Workload and Workforce Planning Toolkit was published in 2008 as a work-based guide to support the workforce planning issues that are relevant to Senior Charge Nurses (SCNs), Senior Charge Midwives (SCMs), Team Leaders (TLs) and others who contribute to nursing and midwifery workforce planning. This second edition has been refreshed to reflect current thinking and policy, including a stronger community emphasis.
The Nursing and Midwifery Workload and Workforce Planning Facilitators Guide provides additional information for facilitators using Nursing and Midwifery Workload and Workforce Planning Learning Toolkit.
This guide recommends a series of workshops, and networking activities, with work-based activities carried out between each session, and provides you with sample programmes. However, sections of the toolkit can be used to support existing learning programmes or activities and bespoke programmes can be planned to meet local or individual needs. Copies of the learning and work-based activities are provided together with a list of available PowerPoint presentations.
There are also a range of presentations which complment the facilitators guide.
