Funding for your Learning and Development

The AHP Careers Fellowship Scheme is currently CLOSED for applications.

1. What is the AHP Careers Fellowship Scheme?

The AHP Careers Fellowship supports learning and development opportunities for the AHP workforce across NHSScotland

2. Who can apply to the AHP Careers Fellowship Scheme?

Applications are welcomed from AHPs employed in NHSScotland and Local Authorities in Scotland.  This encompasses AHPs, AHP Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) and AHP Assistant Practitioners.

Applications are also welcome from AHPs working in the third sector, further and higher education where they are submitted in partnership with NHS AHP colleagues and where there is anticipated benefit to NHS service users and staff.

3. What can I apply for?

You can apply for funding to support your own learning and development and the learning and development of others.  For this opening the AHP Careers Fellowship will focus on the Active and Independent Living Improvement Programme (AILIP).  This means that your application will have to demonstrate how it contributes to one or more of the 8 AILIP priorities.  These are:

  • Well Being

  • Children & Young People

  • Vocational Rehabilitation

  • Musculoskeletal

  • Falls & Frailty

  • Anticipatory Care

  • Dementia

  • E-Health
