Dr Maggie Grundy

Programme Director

Maggie has extensive experience of nursing and clinical education in acute medical specialities particularly haemato-oncology.  She has an MSC Advanced Clinical Practice (Cancer Nursing) from University of Surrey and a Professional Doctorate from Middlesex University.

Maggie was a Macmillan Lecturer at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen with responsibility for BA Nursing distance learning programmes in cancer and palliative care and as a Senior Lecturer with overall responsibility for a portfolio of degree level post registration distance learning programmes.   Maggie is committed to providing relevant, accessible and flexible education to meet the changing demands of health care practitioners. 

Since joining NES Maggie has led various strategic educational initiatives working closely with Health Boards, Scottish Government and the voluntary sector.  Her main areas of responsibility include cancer, palliative care, communication and interpersonal relationships and advanced nursing practice.
